In reliance on God and His Word, Redeemer School affirms the following:

  1. God has made all people in his image.
  2. God’s design for marriage is a covenant relationship between one man and one woman.
  3. God intends for sexual intimacy to be expressed within the covenant of marriage for purposes of relational unity, procreation, and pleasure.
  4. Because of the reality of sin and the subsequent brokenness of creation, struggles with sexuality are part of the human condition which Christ came to redeem.
  5. Sexual intimacy outside of the covenant of marriage is sinful.
  6. All sinners, regardless of their sexual struggles, by confessing and repenting of their sin, can find grace, forgiveness, and restoration through Jesus Christ.
  7. The scripture asks those who are not in a state of covenant marriage to hold themselves to celibate, chaste, and holy lives as historically celebrated in the community of the church.
