Redeemer School strives to make our high-quality Christian education accessible to all families by facilitating financial aid to qualifying families.
We aspire for the Redeemer School community to mirror the diverse body of Christ, and we do not want cost to be a barrier for any believing family who is committed to our mission and values.
Tuition Assistance is awarded by Redeemer School, based on FACTS recommendations and available tuition assistance funds at the time of application. Families can apply for financial aid based on their unique financial situation regardless of race, color, national, or ethnic origin. Tuition Assistance will not cover the full tuition rate and applicable fees, even if a family demonstrates full financial need. Grants or scholarships will be applied to tuition, including READ and ROOTS tuition, if applicable. For families whose calculated need is 75% of tuition or greater, registration/enrollment fees are also reduced.
Redeemer School also provides the Bless the Nations (BTN) scholarship. The BTN scholarship provides financial aid for missionary families who are on furlough through an established missions agency and who demonstrate financial need. For recipients of the BTN scholarship, the scholarship will be applied to tuition, including READ and ROOTS if applicable, as well as to registration/enrollment fees.
Financial Aid applications for Tuition Assistance Grants and Bless the Nations Scholarships are processed online through the FACTS Grant & Aid Application. FACTS assists Redeemer School in determining a family’s financial need and the amount of financial assistance for which they may qualify. Tuition Assistance is not guaranteed beyond one school year and families must re-apply for each year of enrollment.
Tuition Assistance amounts are designated based on FACTS Grant and Aid recommendations and funds available for each school year. The amounts could vary for a family based on those criteria.
FACTS Grant & Aid Applications are accessible through the enrollment application portal for new families, and through the FACTS Family Portal for current and returning families. The FACTS Grant & Aid Application includes a $45 application fee charged to the family, regardless of the number of students included in the application. For questions about filling out the FACTS Grant & Aid application, please call FACTS Customer Service at (866) 441-4637 (also available in Español).
Financial Aid applications must be completed by February 28th to be assured priority consideration. For new families enrolling after February 28th, Tuition Assistance applications may still be submitted within 10 days of an enrollment application being submitted. The school will notify families of a tuition assistance decision by the end of March or within 3 weeks of a completed application, whichever is later.
The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Grant will take precedence over any earlier awarded Redeemer School Financial Aid. All families applying for Redeemer School Tuition Assistance/Scholarships must also apply for the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship by their established application deadline. The Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Grant will serve as the first layer of support. For qualifying families where FACTS recommends tuition assistance beyond the Opportunity Scholarship/ESA+ Grant funds, based on available funds, Redeemer School financial aid will be calculated on the remaining tuition obligation after the NCOS/ESA+ funds have been applied.
If families applied for an Opportunity Scholarship (NCOS) but were not selected as a recipient and would require tuition assistance from Redeemer School, priority consideration can only be given if they have submitted a tuition assistance application through FACTS Grant and Aid by the February 28th deadline.
For NCOS/ESA+ recipients, if families would require tuition assistance beyond the amount that the NCOS/ESA+ provides, the FACTS Grant and Aid application through Redeemer School, submitted by February 28th for priority consideration, must calculate a need greater than the scholarship amount to qualify.
North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program and Education Student Accounts (ESA+) Grant
Redeemer School participates in the North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program and the ESA+ Grant, both administered by the State Education Assistance Authority (SEAA).
All North Carolina students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be eligible for the Scholarship regardless of income or prior school enrollment.
A student’s scholarship amount will be based on household income and will be assigned through a lottery system and tiered levels. The award tiers determine the award amount as well as the order of awarding for new students for applications received by the established deadline, which is typically the end of February.
- 2024-2025 scholarship amounts ranged from approximately $3,000 to approximately $7,000.
- All qualifying applicants will be placed in a lottery. Scholarships will be offered in order of lottery number to all eligible students in Tier 1. After Tier 1 is complete, this same process will move to Tier 2, and so on. SEAA will continue to award “through the tiers” until the funds are depleted. If the number of eligible applications exceeds the amount of funds, then SEAA will establish a waitlist.
- North Carolina 3rd and 8th graders will be required to take a specific nationally standardized test (not the EOG). The SEAA will cover the cost of this test. Other students in grades 4-7 will continue to be tested at Redeemer School as before. The details of this process are not finalized, but it could indicate that 3rd and 8th grade students could be required to take two standardized tests each school year. The Department of Public Instruction and they are committed to ensuring this is manageable for students, families, and schools.
- Due to the timing of the scholarship funding process, Redeemer School 2025-2026 registration and enrollment fees are not covered as a part of the Opportunity Scholarship/ESA+ funding.
- If you receive notification that you will receive the NCOS Scholarship or ESA+ Grant, you are no longer eligible to receive the Annual Tuition discount as funds are not received in full by the July 1st deadline.
- If you have previously chosen the Annual Payment Plan option before receiving notification of receiving the NCOS Scholarship or ESA+ Grant, you will be converted to a monthly payment plan and assessed the FACTS monthly payment plan cost of $55.00 when payment plans are finalized.
The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship application for the 2025-2026 school year will open on February 6, 2025, and families must apply by March 6, 2025 to receive priority consideration. More information is available on the NCSEAA Website and it is important that families check this website for the most accurate information and to ensure they are meeting deadline requirements. Applications received after the established deadline will not be eligible.
North Carolina’s Education Student Accounts (ESA+) program is available to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Funds may be used to pay tuition and fees for eligible private schools, and for expenses such as speech therapy, tutoring services, and educational technology.
Details about this program include:
- $9,000 annual award; students with certain designated disabilities may be eligible to receive $17,000 a year
- Eligibility based on documentation of a disability and other program requirements
- More information about this program is available on their website: https://ncseaa.edu/k12/esa/
Important Notes:
- The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship and ESA+ Grant will take precedence over any earlier awarded Redeemer School Financial Aid. Any balance due would then be divided equally between the remaining months of tuition payment based on your choice of FACTS payment plan.
- If families applied for an Opportunity Scholarship (NCOS) but were not selected as a recipient and would require tuition assistance from Redeemer School, priority consideration can only be given if they have submitted a tuition assistance application through FACTS Grant and Aid by the February 28 deadline.
Redeemer has given our children a God-inspired lens through which to view the world.
