Philosophy

Our educational philosophy begins with the vision of a preferred future of what we desire for God to accomplish in the lives of the covenant children entrusted to our care. Acknowledging God’s sovereignty and that parents are the primary educators of their children, Redeemer School partners with parents in training up students to love God and have an integrated worldview that allows them to live confidently in Christ. By God’s grace, Redeemer School strives to prepare students whose hearts are submitted to Jesus, students whose minds are stimulated throughout life, and students who foster relationships between ideas and people.

This vision has guided Redeemer School in the development of all aspects of our educational philosophy including curriculum, instructional practice, and student discipline.  Our school verse (Colossians 2:3) invites all who pass through the doors of Redeemer School to consider the source of knowledge and reminds us that faith in Christ opens up our understanding of God’s truth. Our mission and core values recognize the child’s need of Christ and the opportunity to engage in the pursuit of wisdom. Our curriculum is designed to help students develop a Christian worldview that can help them confidently engage the culture in which they live and reach out to a world in need.

19th century British educator, Charlotte Mason, has inspired the philosophy that we implement each day at Redeemer School. Her educational ideas put flesh on the biblical principles and values we seek to teach our students in a wonderful way. It is our hope that the philosophy of education offered by Redeemer School will resonate with you as a valuable approach to teaching wisdom and knowledge to your child(ren). If you have any questions about our philosophy, don’t hesitate to contact us.
